Materials

98% Regenerative Cotton 2% Natural Rubber

Triarchy is proud to pioneer the world's first plastic-free stretch denim. Before this innovation, every pair of stretch jeans that has ever existed has contained oil-based plastic stretch. Plastic-based stretch jeans will shed microplastics throughout their life and then sit in a landfill for up to 200 years at the end of their life. Triarchy plastic-free stretch denim uses natural rubber in place of plastic which means no microplastics, and a less than 2 year biodegradation time at end of life, with soil fertilization benefits. This is the world's first natural, non-toxic, breathable stretch jean.

This is also the denim industry's first truly sustainable black denim. Which is achieved by using a sulfur-based dye. We require a fixing agent to get the dye to stick to the fabric. Chitosan is a polymer that is derived by recycling the exoskeleton of shrimp but because of our unwillingness to use animal products and therefore our PETA status, we decided to try mushrooms in place of shrimp. It worked, and now we have the world's first truly responsibly made black jeans.

Additionally, our commitment to environmental responsibility extends to achieving carbon neutrality. These assertions are substantiated by independent verification from our trusted third-party auditor Renoon.
